Orders, Returns, and Refund Policy

Order Shipping Information

Baby chicks ordered for shipping must be pre-ordered prior to the hatch date since chicks must be shipped within 24 hours after hatching.  Chicks shown as “Available Now” are local pick up only.

You will receive a confirmation email when your order is placed showing your selected hatch date.   You will receive a notification email with a tracking number when your chicks are shipped.  You should expect your chicks to arrive at the post office withing 1-3 days after shipping.   Your chicks must be picked up from the post office as soon as possible after arriving.

If you are purchasing chicks for local pick up, we will contact you via email to schedule a pick up time after the chicks have hatched.  Please be sure to select “Local Pick up” at check out.

Return Policy

We do not accept returns on hatching eggs or live poultry.  We cannot under any circumstances take back any birds once they leave our farm.  Other unopened and unused items can be returned within seven days for a refund.  You are responsible for any return shipping costs if applicable.  Please reach out to us using our Contact Us page if you need to request a return.

Refund Policy

Refunds for live chick orders will only be issued if chicks are dead upon arrival.  A photo of deceased chicks must be sent within 1 hour of picking up from your local Post Office.

We will never ship any chicks that don’t appear to be strong and healthy.   It is your responsibility to pick up your chicks quickly when they arrive at the post office.  We cannot issue a refund to you if you fail to pick up your chicks quickly after arrival.

We will issue a refund for new and unused items returned within 7 days.  We will not accept returns for opened or used items.  Please reach out to us using our Contact Us page if you need to request a return.

Hatching Eggs 

Hatching Eggs are shipped via USPS Priority Mail and insured against breakage.  You are responsible for inspecting the eggs upon delivery and if any breakage is found, you can file the insurance claim directly with the USPS. You will need a copy of your invoice to prove the value of the eggs. We do not guarantee the eggs to hatch, due to conditions out of our control. We do guarantee that the eggs shipped to you are fresh and are eggs that we would put in our own incubators. If you have broken eggs upon delivery, you are responsible for filing the claim with the USPS.
