Goat Sales Policies

Updated January 2026

Our goal is to place our goats in well-prepared, long-term homes while keeping the sales process clear, fair, and low-stress for everyone involved. These policies are intended to outline expectations on both sides and to protect the health and well-being of our goats. Please review this page carefully before joining the wait list or placing a reservation.

General Overview

Interest in our goats begins with our Wait List & Interest Form, which is free to submit and carries no obligation to purchase. Joining the wait list simply allows us to understand what you’re looking for and to contact you if kids are born that may be a good match. Reservations are only finalized after kids are born and a deposit is placed on a specific animal. Because pregnancies, kidding outcomes, and timing can change, availability and pricing remain flexible until that point.

Reservations & Wait List

Once kids are born, we review our wait list and reach out to families whose preferences align with available kids. At that time, you may choose whether or not to move forward. If you decide to reserve a specific kid, a non-refundable deposit is required to hold that animal for you. Paid reservations take priority over the free wait list.

While we do our best to accommodate preferences such as sex or general traits, specific characteristics — including color, eye color, or polled status — cannot be guaranteed.

Deposits & Payments

Deposits are non-refundable unless we are unable to fulfill the reservation that was placed. Deposits are applied toward the final purchase price of the goat. We accept deposits via credit or debit card, Paypal, Venmo, Amazon Pay, or Google Pay.

Final payment is due prior to or at pickup unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Pricing

Base pricing is outlined on our Reservations page and reflects the starting price for each category of goat. Final pricing may vary based on individual traits as well as genetics and pedigree. Kids with blue eyes, moonspots, or polled genetics may be priced above the listed starting prices. Pricing is not locked in until a deposit is placed on a specific kid.

Communication

Communication throughout the reservation and sales process is handled primarily via email, with text messaging used when helpful or time-sensitive. It is the buyer’s responsibility to monitor the contact information provided, especially during kidding season. If we do not receive a response within three (3) days of initial contact regarding an available kid, we may move on to the next interested party.

Pick-Up & Timing

Pick-up timing will be discussed once a reservation is placed. Buyers are responsible for arranging transportation and picking up their goats on or before the agreed-upon date unless prior arrangements have been made. Failure to pick up within the agreed timeframe may result in the reservation being canceled.

Health & Responsibility

All goats are healthy at the time they leave our farm. We do not guarantee future size, growth, production, or performance, as these outcomes depend heavily on management, nutrition, and environment after leaving our care. Once a goat leaves our property, responsibility for its care transfers fully to the buyer.

Farm Visits & Biosecurity

To protect the health of our herd, farm visits are limited to customer pickups only. We do not offer tours or casual visits, and we appreciate your understanding as we prioritize biosecurity.

Breeder Discretion

We reserve the right to decline or cancel a sale at any time prior to pickup if we believe a placement is not in the best interest of the goat. We also reserve the right to retain any goat prior to leaving the farm. If a sale is canceled by us, any payments made will be refunded in full.

Final Notes

All sales are considered final once a goat leaves the farm. We are always happy to answer questions and strongly encourage reviewing our FAQ before reaching out. These policies exist to create a smooth experience for everyone involved and, most importantly, to ensure the long-term well-being of our goats.

Thank you for taking the time to read and understand our sales policies.
